Turmeric Tea (Ketogenic Diet)

Turmeric is a spice widely used in Indian cuisine. Turmeric has also been used for centuries in India for its medicinal properties. It is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and is being investigated for it’s potential effect arthritis, cancer and diabetes. It is also a strong anti-inflammatory which is why I use it usually after a hard workout or run.

Recipe:

1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

½ water

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tbsp Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter Salted

1 tbsp Coconut oil

1 tsp knox Gelatin

1tsp Equal parts Cardamom & Clove ground together

  1. In a microwave safe cup mix the almond and gelatin
  2. Add the water
  3. Microwave for 2 mins
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well
  5. Microwave again if needed
